Register as a VFISA Member

We invite you to become a member of the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy South Africa. We would very much like you to be a part of this great initiative to bring logotherapy more visibly into the South African arena.

The membership fee is R550 per year, payable in January of each year.

Benefits of Membership

Website Advertising

VFISA offers free advertising on its website for logotherapy services offered by the member. A full profile, including a photograph, qualifications, academic background, full contact details, location, experience, and the type of service the member is qualified to offer the public. Any special workshop, programme or lecture that a member wishes to offer the public can be advertised on this website.

Referrals

Any request for logotherapy assistance by students and members of the public directed to VFISA, or to one of its trainers, will be matched and referred to a specific member based on where the logotherapist is stationed and the type of service that is needed.

Articles and Publications

Any item or article of interest written by a member will be reviewed with the aim of placing it on the website. VFISA also undertakes to assist members in writing such items of logotherapeutic interest in journal form for submission to The International Forum for Logotherapy: Journal of Search for Meaning.

Networking

Close co-operation with the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy in the United States will ensure that members, through this website, are kept abreast of the work and publications of logotherapists worldwide. Members are part of a network of membership with other logotherapy institutions internationally. VFISA is a recognised member of The Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy and Existential Analysis in Vienna, the hometown of the late Dr Viktor Frankl. Close co-operation also exists with the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy in Israel. News from VFISA and its logotherapy training base in Istanbul, Turkey, is shared with members of VFISA.

On request, the details of all qualified logotherapists and students of logotherapy in South Africa are supplied to a member. The idea is to create an interactive network of logotherapists in South Africa to become a unified force for meaningful change in South African society.

The member who has been most active and involved in the work of VFISA may benefit from fundraising to attend any of the overseas conferences in logotherapy.

Reduced Fees

Members are offered a 25% reduction in fees for any workshop, refresher course, or programme in logotherapy offered by trainers or other members of VFISA.

Future Goals

VFISA is planning a newsletter as a forerunner to a Journal of Logotherapy. We trust that members will actively take part in supplying the newsletter and journal with a continual flow of interesting articles and news items.

VFISA is planning the first International Conference on Logotherapy in South Africa, followed by smaller national conferences. The active involvement of members in disseminating information of such conferences, as well as canvassing students for our training programmes, is an integral part of not only these future goals but also of all present endeavors to make logotherapy a powerful force for meaningful change in the entire South African population.

Social Media

It is our goal to make our website a lively platform of communication with members. We encourage you to send articles and news on your activities and events of interest on a regular basis.

Our Facebook page is a great place for your logotherapy-inspired poetry, pictures, photos, arts and crafts, and any of your articles. Please feel free to send these to us and we will review them for publication.

Please send articles to klasie@streetschool.co.za, and all other media to both danielle.rigas@gmail.com and admin@vfisa.co.za.

Participate on our Facebook page LogotherapySA.
